Small
apartment

styling
Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Vondelpark in Amsterdam, this tiny apartment exudes charm and character. Despite its compact size, the apartment offers a cozy retreat in one of the city's most desirable neighborhoods.
In this home, the primary requirement was a kitchen space that not only provided ample storage for kitchen essentials but also contributed to the overall functionality of the living area. Collaborating with MM Architects, I designed a custom kitchen in partnership with SieMatic, focusing on achieving a sleek, clean aesthetic with meticulous attention to detail. Despite the challenge of working around a slanted ceiling, the design successfully maximized storage capacity while maintaining a seamless and stylish appearance. The result is a kitchen that not only meets the practical needs of the space but also enhances its visual appeal, contributing to a cohesive and harmonious living environment.
Sophisticatedly efficiant
The careful selection and use of materials played a pivotal role in defining the ambiance of the space. Utilizing a combination of grey tones, with lighter hues for the base cabinets and darker shades for the high cabinets, created a balanced and sophisticated aesthetic. This contrast not only added visual interest but also contributed to the overall sense of tranquility within the kitchen area.
The pièce de résistance, a stunning granite countertop in a luxurious leather finish, elevated the space, imbuing it with a touch of opulence and refinement. Together, these material choices established a quiet yet luxurious atmosphere, transforming the kitchen into a stylish haven for both cooking and relaxation.
