styling

While the main focus of the renovation initially centered on the kitchen area, a strong rapport with the client led to an expansion of the project scope to encompass the entire living and dining space of this 50sqm apartment in De Pijp, Amsterdam. This expanded vision allowed us to create a cohesive and harmonious living environment that perfectly complemented the renovated kitchen, resulting in a truly transformative makeover for the entire apartment.

The kitchen area underwent a complete transformation, transitioning from its original L-shaped traditional layout to a sleek and modern parallel design. Central to this renovation was the addition of a peninsula island, which not only expanded the workspace but also introduced a stylish breakfast bar. This new configuration not only maximized functionality but also enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the kitchen, creating a contemporary and inviting atmosphere for cooking and socializing.

The puristic World

The primary preparation area is situated against the wall, boasting a full suite of appliances seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry. This setup includes a dishwasher, a full fridge and freezer combination, a cooktop, and an oven, all strategically placed for optimal functionality and ease of use. By consolidating these essential elements along the wall, the central island is left free and uncluttered, providing ample space for meal preparation and culinary creativity.

The soft color palette, featuring soothing taupe tones complemented by elegant marble and warm wooden textures, imparts a sense of natural serenity to the space. This carefully curated combination not only enhances visual appeal but also contributes to an airy and breathable ambiance, effectively expanding the perceived size of the small apartment.

Before and
After pictures

These clients, originally from the US, brought a traditional Amsterdam house in Korte van Eegenstraat. A Full 4 story building, split into two, 2 story apartments.

Both couple were looking to renovate the full space but wanted to keep the classic vibe that they used to be around and that they felt when they chose to go with this property, like every other client, they wanted to make it home! This project is still under construction, here we feature one of the 2 kitchens designed by us.
