De Pijp Amsterdam
Full
apartment
This monochromatic, two-level apartment was tailored for a young couple situated in the vibrant heart of the De Pijp area. The renovation project involved a comprehensive transformation, primarily focusing on reconfiguring the layout of the two floors. This restructuring included flipping the positions of the floors, except for the interior stairs, and incorporating the exterior stair of the building to be internally accessible, as the apartment occupied the final floor of the building.
We innovatively designed an open-concept layout that seamlessly integrates the kitchen, dining area, and living space, all of which extend to the rooftop terrace. This cohesive design approach enhances spatial flow, encourages social interaction, and maximizes the use of natural light throughout the apartment.
Modern minimalism
On the other floor, we skillfully integrated two bedrooms, including a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, along with an additional guest bedroom. This configuration ensures optimal privacy and comfort for the occupants while efficiently utilizing the available space. The overarching theme of the house embodies modern minimalism, characterized by clean lines, sleek surfaces, and a focus on functional simplicity.
This design approach prioritizes open spaces, minimal clutter, and neutral color palettes, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and sophistication throughout the home.
Given the client's affinity for the color black, we tastefully incorporated various elements in this hue while ensuring that the space maintains an open balanced and inviting atmosphere.
